The Position
Urban Bliss Hotel is seeking a highly skilled Restaurant Manager to oversee the daily operations of the hotel’s restaurants and bar. Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager, the successful candidate will ensure smooth operations, maintain high service standards, and drive customer satisfaction and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the daily operations of the bar and restaurant outlets.
Design menus, manage purchasing, and implement continuous improvements.
Identify customer needs and respond proactively to concerns.
Lead, train, and develop restaurant staff, including appraisal, and performance management.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food and beverage quality.
Handle inventory management, ordering supplies, and stock control efficiently.
Develop and implement strategies to attract customers and improve profitability.
Address customer inquiries and resolve complaints effectively.
Monitor budgets, sales, and overall financial performance.
Qualifications & Requirements
Grade 12 Certificate.
Diploma or Degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management, Hospitality Management, Food Production, or related field.
Hotel and Catering Certificate or Diploma is an added advantage.
Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in the hospitality industry, preferably in a four-star hotel environment.
Highly organized, focused, and results-driven.
Strong leadership, organizational, and team management skills.
Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
