Overview

We are recruiting!

Our client in Lusaka is looking for a  Remanufacturing Technician Trainee to join their team for a job vacancy within the Mining Industry.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Follow all Safe Work Practices related to workshop jobs.
• Work under supervision within a team to clean, disassemble, inspect, reassemble, and test components according to best practice and standards defined for the work instructions and procedures.
• Ensure the quality of remanufactured component is at the levels specified in the relevant standards and policies.
• Operate various remanufacturing tooling and equipment according to specified procedures to ensure quality of remanufactured component.
• Use of forklift – to load and unload trucks, storage and picking of parts.
• Storage of stock in appropriate areas as directed by supervisor.

• Ensure assigned jobs are well prepared and all documentation are filled in and submitted in a timely manner.
• Ensure the shop floor and tools are cleaned at the end every shift and assigned tools are returned to the tools store.
• Ensure documentation, including work orders, operation notes, technical drawings, quality procedures, etc. for each component to be repaired and remanufactured are followed.

 

SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Technical Diploma or Higher Trade Certificate in Heavy Equipment Repair, Mechanical Engineering, with attachments or Internship Experience.
