Job description
(1) Registered Theatre Nurse
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Theatre Nurse to join our surgical team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality perioperative care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments
• Assist surgeons during procedures
• Monitor patients before, during, and after surgery
• Maintain sterile environments and adhere to infection control protocols
Qualifications:
• Full Grade 12 Certificate
• Advanced Diploma in Theatre Nursing
• Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Zambia
• Valid Practicing License
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
• A minimum of 3 years working experience in Theater settings preferred.
(2) Intensive Critical Care Nurse (ICU)
Coptic Hospital is also hiring a compassionate and experienced Intensive Critical Care Nurse to join our ICU team. The ideal candidate will provide specialized care to critically ill patients requiring close monitoring and advanced medical support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor and manage patients with life-threatening conditions
• Administer medications and operate life-support equipment
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate patient records and respond to emergencies
• Provide emotional support to patients and their families
• A minimum of 3 years working experience in Intensive Critical Care Nurse.
Qualifications:
• Full Grade 12 Certificate
• Diploma or Degree in Nursing with ICU specialization or relevant experience
• Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Zambia
• Valid Practicing License
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and critical thinking skills
