Greenlight Planet Zambia is seeking a dedicated and experienced Refurbishment Line Coordinator to oversee and optimise refurbishment operations at our centre in Zambia. Key Responsibilities of the Refurbishment Line Coordinator

  • Operations Management: Plan, organise, and supervise daily refurbishment centre workflows, ensuring smooth product flow from receipt through dispatch while meeting throughput, quality, inventory accuracy, and turnaround time targets.
  • Inventory Control & Product Traceability: Maintain strict accountability for all products, spare parts, and refurbished units, ensuring serial-level traceability and accurate record-keeping throughout the refurbishment lifecycle.
  • Inbound Operations & Screening: Oversee receipt, classification, and documentation of inbound products, ensuring reconciliation between physical stock and CRM records with consistent quality checks.
  • Systems Compliance & Reporting: Ensure real-time updates in CRM and inventory systems, monitor data integrity, generate operational reports, and support system improvements and automation initiatives.
  • Quality Assurance & Product Failure Analysis: Manage categorisation of product failures, conduct root cause investigations, provide actionable insights, and drive initiatives to reduce recurring defects.
  • Assembly Line & Process Management: Optimise refurbishment workflows, monitor assembly line performance, enforce standard operating procedures, and promote continuous improvement in productivity and quality.
  • Spare Parts & Component Management: Maintain optimal stock levels, monitor component recovery, coordinate with supply chain teams, and minimise stock-outs and excess inventory.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead and coach refurbishment personnel, conduct performance reviews, foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement, and ensure teams have necessary resources.
  • Cost Management & Compliance: Monitor operating costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, prepare performance reports, and ensure health, safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance.

Candidate Profile for Refurbishment Line Coordinator Jobs in Zambia

Ideal candidates will possess:

  • A degree in engineering, supply chain management, operations management, industrial engineering, manufacturing, or related fields from a recognised university. Advanced degrees are advantageous.
  • At least 5 years of experience managing refurbishment, manufacturing, repair, warehouse, or production operations.
  • Proven expertise in inventory management, product traceability, and ERP/CRM system utilisation.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate operational data into actionable insights.
  • Experience leading technical teams and managing spare parts, returned goods, and component recovery operations.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, coaching, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and operational excellence.
  • Demonstrated integrity, accountability, humility, and ownership aligned with a social mission to provide affordable energy to underserved communities.
