Job description

REFRIGERATION TECHNICIAN – 1 POSITION

JOB PURPOSE

To install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair refrigeration and cooling systems to ensure reliable equipment performance, energy efficiency, and uninterrupted production operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Install, inspect, service, and repair refrigeration and cooling systems.

· Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial refrigerators, freezers, and cooling equipment.

· Diagnose refrigeration system faults and carry out necessary repairs.

· Monitor refrigerant levels, temperatures, pressures, and overall system performance.

· Maintain compressors, condensers, evaporators, thermostats, and related components.

· Conduct routine inspections and maintain accurate maintenance records.

· Follow workplace safety procedures and applicable maintenance standards.

· Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to support efficient plant operations.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

· Certificate, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning or a Related field.

· Minimum 2 years experience in refrigeration maintenance, experience in the FMCG or manufacturing industry is an added advantage.

· Strong knowledge of industrial refrigeration systems, compressors, condensers, and evaporators.

· Ability to diagnose faults and repair refrigeration and cooling equipment.

· Knowledge of refrigeration controls, temperature monitoring, and electrical troubleshooting.

· Understanding of refrigerant handling procedures and workplace safety standards.
