Position Overview: Radiology Technologist

As a Radiology Technologist at HealthNest Medical Centre, you will perform high-quality ultrasound examinations and other diagnostic imaging procedures within your professional scope. Your role will be critical in producing accurate diagnostic images that assist clinicians in making informed medical decisions. You will also be responsible for maintaining patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality throughout all imaging processes.

Key Responsibilities for Radiology Technologist Jobs in Lusaka

• Conduct ultrasound and other imaging procedures accurately and efficiently.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality during all examinations.
• Produce clear and precise diagnostic images to support clinical evaluations.
• Maintain and monitor radiology equipment, reporting any malfunctions promptly.
• Keep detailed and accurate patient records and imaging documentation.
• Adhere strictly to radiation safety protocols, infection prevention, and quality assurance standards.
• Collaborate closely with clinicians and other healthcare professionals to enhance patient care outcomes.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Radiography, Radiography Technology, or an equivalent qualification.
• Valid registration and practising licence with the Health Professions Council of Zambia (HPCZ).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong professional ethics with keen attention to detail.
• Previous work experience in radiology is advantageous but not mandatory.
