Job description

A private limited company is seeking to recruit a highly competent and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all cost-related aspects of construction projects and ensuring financial efficiency and value for money.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
Minimum of 10 years proven work experience in quantity surveying
Registered member of a recognized professional body.
Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost control, and project budgeting

Key Responsibilities:

Preparation of Bills of Quantities (BOQs), cost estimates, and budgets
Cost planning, monitoring, and control throughout the project lifecycle
Preparation and certification of interim valuations and final accounts
Contract administration and management of variations and claims
Liaison with clients, consultants, and contractors
Ensuring projects are delivered within budget and agreed timelines

Required Competencies:

High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong understanding of construction standards and regulations
