Job Advertisement: Quantity Surveyor and Surveyors

Company: China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC)

Location: Mwense, Luapula province

Employment Type: Contract

China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC), a leading international construction company engaged in major infrastructure and engineering projects, is seeking qualified and motivated professionals to join our team.

1. Position: Quantity Surveyor (1 Position)

Key Responsibilities:

1, Calculate the cost of materials, labor, equipment, etc. according to the project route design drawings and engineering requirements.

2, Evaluate the quotations of contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors, and analyze the rationality and potential risks.

3, Count the engineering quantities, monitor the difference between actual expenditures and budgets, identify overspending risks and propose optimization plans.

4, Manage contracts, guarantee the main contract, suppliers and subcontractors, and ensure smooth performance of all parties.

5, Handle allegations and disputes (such as construction period contracts, engineering quantity disputes), and include clause adjustment solutions.

6, Conduct final settlement and audit, and prepare final settlement reports.

Requirements:

1, Bachelor’s degree Building Science or Quantity Surveying or Civil/Highway Engineering

2, Have more than 10 years of experience in road projects, familiar with SATCC, Zambian government project procurement contracts or FIDIC.

3, registered member of EIZ and registered to practice by an appropriate body such as the Engineers Registration Board (ERB) or the Surveyors Institute of Zambia.

4, Aged between 32 and 60.

5, Have a strong sense of teamwork and a strong work pressure resistance.

NOTE: The recruitment channels are not limited to Zambia, and can be employees from other southern African countries and the requirements can be relaxed appropriately for those with excellent conditions

2. Position: Surveyors (10 Positions)

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the survey supervisor

1, Ensure that the road alignment, high-rise buildings and structure locations meet the Zambian national surveying and mapping standards through professional and scientific surveying and mapping technology and management methods.

2, In the early stage of the project, it is necessary to lay out a survey control network for the project to ensure the accuracy of engineering measurements.

3, Accurately review the original ground elevation and coordinates according to the design drawings.

4, Accurately measure roads during project implementation.

5, Be able to draw relevant drawings and verify engineering quantities based on survey data. Prepare survey ledgers and related materials required for relevant measurements.

6, Proficient in using RTK, total station, drone measurement, theodolite, level, GPS and other surveying equipment.                                                             

7, Be able to use Civil 3D or similar software to carry out the cross-section drawing.

Requirements:

1, Surveying and mapping engineering or civil engineering related majors

2, Have more than 5 years of work experience and have relevant experience in similar road projects.

3, Be a registered member of EIZ and registered to practice with the Engineers Registration Board (ERB) or other relevant institutions.

4, Age range is between 27-50 years old.

5, Have a strong sense of teamwork and can withstand strong work pressure.

The requirements can be appropriately relaxed for those with excellent conditions.
