About the Role: Quality System Supervisor Jobs in Lusaka

Reporting directly to the Chinese Quality Manager and Technical Manager, the Quality System Supervisor will play a pivotal role in supporting the implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of the factory’s Quality Management System (QMS). You will coordinate quality activities across departments, ensuring compliance with company standards and quality objectives while acting as an essential liaison between local teams and Chinese management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the preparation, revision, translation, distribution, and control of quality manuals, SOPs, work instructions, and quality records.
  • Assist in coordinating quality-related activities and communication between departments to maintain alignment with quality system requirements.
  • Provide administrative and technical support during customer audits, certification audits, management reviews, and quality improvement projects.
  • Prepare detailed quality reports and analyses using Microsoft Excel and other reporting tools to aid management decision-making.
  • Monitor document control practices and operational compliance across production and support departments.
  • Deliver quality system training to employees on ISO 9001 standards, product specifications, and technical procedures.
  • Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
  • Perform dimensional inspections using Vernier calipers and other precision measuring instruments to verify product compliance.
  • Identify system gaps or inefficiencies and recommend improvements to the Quality Manager.
  • Coordinate customer audits, factory inspections, and related documentation and reception activities.
  • Maintain proper filing, traceability, and authenticity of quality records and system documentation.
  • Undertake any additional quality system-related duties assigned by management.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Industrial Technology, Ceramics Technology, Manufacturing, or related fields.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, or Quality Systems within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems and internal auditing principles.
  • Experience with document control, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and quality performance monitoring.
  • Hands-on experience using Vernier calipers and other precision measuring instruments.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with multicultural teams and coordinate cross-departmental activities.
  • Experience in ceramic tile manufacturing or building materials manufacturing is advantageous.
  • ISO 9001 Internal Auditor certification is a plus.
