Zambeef Products PLC is the largest integrated cold chain food products and agribusiness company in Zambia and one of the largest in the Southern Africa region.  It is involved in the primary production, processing, distribution and retailing of beef, chicken, pork, eggs, dairy, fish, flour, stock feed and day-old chicks throughout Zambia and the surrounding region.

QUALITY CONTROLLER (ZAMCHICK PROCESSING) – HUNTLEY FARM (X 1)

The Skills Required for this Role Include:

Monitoring the critical control points (CCPs).
Monitoring product food safety and quality throughout the manufacturing process.
Performing inspection on equipment, machinery, products, ingredients, and other raw materials at reception of the aforementioned items. Responsible for the correct recording and filing of all relevant record logs and Documentation.
Conducting spot checks to ensure products on pallets have correct packaging and labelling (product name, production dates and batch numbers etc.)
Ensuring the correct recipe guidelines for the products are met during processing.
Ensuring that employees are following all Food Safety and worker safety practices.
Responsible for issuing disciplinary action when directed.
Reporting cases of non-conformance / non-compliance to the Food Safety Manager and recommending possible solutions.
Identifying processes and procedures where safety, health and the quality of work may be improved and make recommendations.
Responsible for performing sanitation verification on equipment and other areas required
Ensuring that all the employees adhere to the Food Safety Policy and the Hygiene Code of Conduct.

The Required Qualifications are:

Full Grade 12 Certificate
Diploma in a related field (Agric Science, Food Science, Food Safety and Hygiene, etc.).
At least 1-year work experience in a food production plant

SUPERVISOR (ZAMCHICK PROCESSING) – HUNTLEY FARM (X 2)

The Skills Required for this Role Include:

Supervising and coordinating the activities of production staff to ensure efficient production and high-quality products.
Monitoring production lines during production to identify and address any issues promptly.
Recording items from the production floor to the blast freezer, ensuring accurate tracking and inventory management.
Maintaining proper records of bird weights, production volumes, and other relevant data.
Implement and enforce food safety and hygiene standards, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Conducting regular inspections of the production area to identify and address any potential hazards or quality issues.
Providing training and guidance to production staff on best practices, quality standards, and food safety regulations.
Collaborating with the Quality Assurance team to ensure that products meet the required standards.
Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production processes and improve product quality.

The Qualifications and Experience for this Role are:

Full Grade 12 Certificate
Diploma in a related field (Agric Science, Food Science, Food Safety and Hygiene, etc.).
Proven experience in supervising and coordinating production staff.
At least 1-year work Experience in a Food Production plant
