As we expand operations, we are seeking a hands-on, results-driven Quality Control Manager to strengthen our production output standards and ensure operational excellence across our entire value chain.
The Quality Control Manager will report directly to the CEO and work closely with the Production Manager, Food Safety Manager, Management Accountant and Procurement & Supply Chain Manager..
Key Responsibilities
The Quality Control Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all raw materials and finished products meet strict quality specifications and customer expectations.
Duties include:
·        Design, implement, and enforce strict quality control protocals and SOPs and for raw materials and finished products across the entire value chain.
·        Monitor and verify production output against quality benchmarks (weights, sizes, filling ratios, consistency, appearance).
·        Track and report on raw material yield efficiency, ensuring optimum utilization and minimal wastage.
·         Conduct in-process quality checks to ensure portioning, product weights, and consistency meet strict set standards.
·        Identify and address deviations in product quality, leading corrective and preventive actions.
·        Evaluate and report on production wastage levels and recommend efficiency improvements.
·        Work closely with the Food Safety Manager to ensure output quality aligns with HACCP, ISO22000, and GMP compliance.
·        Train supervisors and line staff on portion control, measuring practices, and adherence to SOPs.
·        Monitor and document customer complaints or feedback related to product quality, and follow up with corrective measures.
·         Provide daily and weekly reports on product consistency, yield, and efficiency to management.
·        Support New Product Development by setting output quality benchmarks during trials and scale-up.

Qualifications and Experience
Â
Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology or related discipline.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a food manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in quality control/production quality supervision.
Strong understanding of production yield, portion control, and efficiency management.
Experience in setting up traceability systems in food processing industries.
Knowledge of HACCP, ISO22000, GMP, and other food safety systems (advantageous but secondary to production QC experience).
Demonstrated ability to implement SOPs, train teams, and enforce standards in a fast-paced production environment.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills with a hands-on approach.
