Description
(A) Purpose of the Job
To support the Manager in driving innovative strategies and initiatives within the ICT regulatory framework to enhance the development of ICT systems and foster enterprise agility within ZICTA
(B) Statements of Main Responsibilities
This role involves conducting research, assisting in the development of strategies to address the digital divide, managing innovation projects, engaging with stakeholders, and promoting inclusive policy frameworks. The Officer will also support the implementation of agile practices to enhance the development of ICT systems and foster enterprise agility within ZICTA.
The main duties are as follows:-
Conducts in-depth research and analysis to understand the digital divide across various sectors and communities.
Assists in market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for innovation within the ICT sector.
Analyzes data and trends to inform decision-making and strategy development.
Assists in the development and implementation of comprehensive innovation strategies aligned with the Fund &ZICTA’s goals and objectives.
Helps develop strategies that address accessibility, digital literacy, affordability, and diverse content creation.
Supports the Manager in leading and managing innovation projects from conception to completion.
Assists in overseeing the project management of ICT systems development projects using agile methodologies.
Helps implement agile practices to ensure efficient and effective development of ICT systems that support ZICTA goals.
Promotes a culture of innovation and creativity within ZICTA.
Encourages and supports employees in developing and implementing new ideas.
Helps develop and implement metrics to measure the success and impact of innovation initiatives.
Requirements

General Education:

2. Professional Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Innovation Management, Strategy, Project Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
Knowledge and experience with agile methodologies and practices are added advantages
Membership of relevant professional body

3. Relevant Pre-Job Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in innovation management, project support, or a related role, preferably in the ICT sector.
