JOB PURPOSE
To undertake the planning, installation, extension and maintenance of nationwide rural electrification projects in order to facilitate increased access to electricity by rural dwellers.

Responsibility:
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES (MAIN DUTIES)
Grid Specifications – Undertakes effectively the development of grid specifications and standards in order to facilitate the acquisition of equipment and the execution of projects.
Testing – Undertakes effectively the testing of supplied materials in order to determine suitability for use.
Technical Project Proposals for Special Projects – Undertakes effectively the development of technical project proposal for special projects in order to facilitate the extension of the grid.
Rural Electrification Plans – Undertakes effectively the development, implementation, monitoring and review of rural electrification plans in order to guide rural electrification projects.
Quality Management System – Undertakes effectively the implementation and maintenance of quality management systems in order to ensure compliance to set standards.
Risk Management – Undertakes effectively the preparation and updating of the environmental and social risk register in order to ensure effective management of risk.
