Job description

Programs Officer

We seek to hire a Programs Officer who will support the planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of projects and programs. Reporting to the Projects Coordinator, the role requires a proactive and organized individual with strong coordination and communication skills. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring programs deliver impact in line with organizational objectives.

Main Duties and Key Responsibilities

Assist with the development of program proposals, work plans, and concept notes.
Support day-to-day program implementation and logistical coordination.
Liaise with beneficiaries, partners, and stakeholders to ensure smooth communication.
Collect and organize program data for monitoring and evaluation.
Contribute to regular program reports, case studies, and success stories.
Support preparation of program-related budgets and expenditure tracking.
Assist in stakeholder engagement, partner meetings, and advocacy efforts.
Ensure proper documentation and filing of program records.

 

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

Diploma or degree in Project Management, Development Studies, Social Sciences, or related field.
At least 2 years’ experience in program implementation or project support.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
 Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and data management tools.
Ability to organize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Passion for community development and social impact.
Fluency in English; knowledge of local languages is an added advantage.
