We are now recruiting for a Programme Logistics and Operations Manager to join our team in Zambia. Reporting to the Programme Logistics and Operations Lead, this role is critical to ensuring the effective delivery of Mary’s Meals’ school feeding programme through strong operational systems, quality assurance, and stewardship of resources.
The Programme Logistics and Operations Manager will be responsible for fleet, facilities, supplier management, asset management and warehouse management. You will contribute to continuous improvement of our programmes, and support alignment to our school feeding model, helping to ensure quality, stewardship and simplicity across our programmes.
Key responsibilities:
Implement fleet management systems, processes, and procedures with adequate controls
Oversee facilities management and asset use
Manage operational risk controls and loss prevention
Supervise operational logistics staff, ensuring adequate capacity and skills
Ensure operational adherence to quality standards for suppliers
Consolidate and analyse reports from the Transport and Logistics Officers, identify patterns or risks, and generate actionable outputs for decision-making
Education
About you:
You are a strategic and solutions‑focused operations professional with strong leadership experience in logistics or programme operations. You are highly organised, analytical, and people‑centred, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams and cultures. You are committed to stewardship, accountability, and delivering high‑quality impact in complex or resource‑constrained environments.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
University Degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, Logistics & Operations Management, Public Administration, or a related field.
Proven experience leading logistics or operations functions and developing high‑performing teams.
Strong experience in fleet management, facilities, assets, and operational risk management.
Excellent communication, analytical, and financial management skills.
Experience working in humanitarian or development contexts is an advantage.
Valid manual driving license
