New Hope Waves is a non profit organisation based in Livingstone, Zambia working to empower with skills, knowledge and opportunities to improve living conditions in the vulnereable communities through community based projects in education, sports, youth related programs and other community activities www.newhopewaves.org

New Hope Waves is implementing a comprehensive empowerment program for the orphaned and vulnerable children and youth in disrupting cycles of poverty among orphaned and vulnerable youth through a peer-led program in which participants help one another become safe and healthy, skilled for long-term success, and able to lead meaningful lives within a supportive communities through livelihood, child rights, education, hygiene and healthcare, food and nutrition and safe housing and connections in Livingstone, Zambia.

We are looking for suitable to fill up the position of

(1) PROGRAM FIELD FACILITATOR

Summary Responsibilities

The Program Field Facililator will manage all field level related tasks as stipulated in the job responsibilities below:

JOB DETAILS:

Reporting to the Senior Field Facilitator (Program manager), the duties will include but not limited to the following:

• identify and recruit the beneficiaries of the project working with the local leadership, families and other stakeholders as assist in establishing and mobilize youth empowerment groups for orphaned and vulnerable youth.

• Routine data collection using approved project data collection tools.

• Consolidate quarterly monitoring charts.

• Collect and document project success stories.

• Proper filing and documentation of project documents.

• Participate in monthly project update meetings.

• Coordinate effective supervision of project interventions in the communities.

• Ensure integration of the program model with the local stakeholders including district government officials and traditional leaders and community members in the communities.

• Mobilizing and training project participants with other stakeholders in the related fields

• Must a resident of the program location in Livingstone and able to speak the local language such as Tonga, Lozi and or Nyanja

• Perform other tasks as assigned by Senior Field Facilitator (Program manger)

• Participate actively in program planning processes.

• Must be a holder of a Bachelor’s degree in Education, Development Studies and other related fields..

• At least 3 years’ experience in teaching, community mobilisation and facilitation

• Must have relevant experience in Orphaned and vulnerable children and youth related projects

• Proven ability to develop and monitor work plans

• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently

• Proven written and oral communication

• Must be a committed Christian with good standing, values and morals

• Must be self-reliant, resourceful, good humored, and flexible

• Must speak local languages such as Tonga, Lozi and Nyanja

– Experience in Months: 36

– Level of Education: Bachelor’s Degree
