Our Client (Nankunda Logistics and Suppliers Limited) is a growing service provider specializing in catering and cleaning services for the University of Lusaka. As part of our expansion strategy, including the establishment of a new Mini Mart Supermarket at Silverest Campus, we invite qualified and motivated individuals to apply for the following positions:

1. Procurement Officer (1 Position)

Job Purpose
To manage procurement activities by ensuring timely sourcing of quality goods and services at competitive prices while maintaining compliance with company procurement procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and execute procurement processes for catering, cleaning, and supermarket operations
Source suppliers and obtain quotations in line with procurement policies
Prepare purchase orders and track deliveries
Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment
Maintain supplier relationships and evaluate supplier performance
Ensure cost control and value-for-money procurement
Maintain procurement records and prepare reports

Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management / Procurement or Equivalent Qualifications.

Professional Membership: Mandatory valid latest membership with the Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply (ZIPS).

Experience: At least 3–5 years of experience in procurement, specifically within the Food, Retail, or Service industries, proven experience in managing multi-site supply chains (logistics).

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with Procurement/Accounting software (QuickBooks or SAGE), strong negotiation and contract management skills. 

 

2. Cafeteria Supervisor (1 Position)

Job Purpose
To supervise daily cafeteria operations and coordinate catering services while ensuring high standards of food quality, hygiene, customer service, and efficient service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise cafeteria staff and daily food service operations
Coordinate catering bookings, menu planning, and service delivery
Oversee event setup, including catering arrangements and décor coordination
Monitor food quality, hygiene, and safety compliance
Manage stock levels and minimise food wastage
Handle customer feedback and resolve service issues
Maintain catering schedules and operational reports

Qualifications & Experience

Educational Background: A Degree in Business Administration or Hospitality is an added advantage.

Experience: At least 3–5 years of supervisory experience in a high-volume cafeteria, hotel, or institutional catering environment, proven experience in event coordination and managing diverse teams (Kitchen vs. Front of House).

Technical Skills: Proficiency in basic Excel for reporting, strong understanding of Zambian Food Safety Laws and HACCP principles.

Soft Skills: Exceptional mediation and diplomacy skills to manage inter-departmental friction, high level of integrity and “Head for Business” to support the Finance department’s goals.
