Job description
Our client, INDENI ENERGY COMPANY Limited, a member of the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) seeks to employ a competent and qualified Procurement Manager.
PROCUREMENT MANAGER
Main Purpose of Job:
To plan, implement and control Purchasing & Supply function and ensure economic management and control of material stores according to established budget and programs.
Main Responsibilities:
Planning and Forecasting. Equipment & sourcing. Supplier materials Evaluation/Appraisal, Import documentation, Shipping/Transportation Logistics, Warehousing Management, Inventory Management and Supply Management,
Reporting
Job reports to Chief Executive Officer
Qualifications and Experience:
Full Grade 12 Certificate
Degree in Procurement / Purchasing and Supply, MBA added advantage.
10 years’ experience 5 of which should be at senior level within the energy sector.
Knowledge of tender procedures, customs clearance regulations, import regulations.
Acquainted with the ZPPA ACT and regulations.
Affiliated with Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply. (ZIPS)
Competencies:
Planning.implementation of procurement and supply functions to meet requirements of the Company operations;
Need for effective co-ordination with other Managers, SHEQ and Engineering Departments;
Written and oral/HR skills, deal with customs clearance staff, Import and Export Officials; and
Analytical/ Problem Solving, Computer Software skills and Ability to use commercial mathematics
