Dollar Tree Distributors, a key client, is expanding its Agro Stores division and requires a highly organized and proactive Procurement & Logistics Officer. The successful candidate will oversee procurement activities, supplier relations, stock management, and logistics coordination to ensure seamless product availability across multiple store locations.

Key Responsibilities for Procurement and Logistics Officer Jobs in Copperbelt

  • Source agro and FMCG products at competitive prices to optimize cost-efficiency
  • Coordinate transportation and dispatch of bulk shipments using 30 to 40-ton trucks
  • Monitor inventory levels to prevent stockouts and maintain continuous supply
  • Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and operational guidelines for procurement and logistics
  • Maintain consistent follow-up with suppliers, transporters, and delivery teams to ensure timely execution
  • Manage loading, offloading, and delivery scheduling to optimize logistics flow
  • Keep accurate procurement and logistics records utilizing ERP systems
  • Support inventory planning and facilitate inter-store stock transfers
  • Prepare detailed procurement and stock reports for management review

Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma or Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related disciplines
  • Proven experience in procurement, logistics, transport coordination, or inventory management
  • Strong negotiation abilities combined with excellent communication skills
  • Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure and handle multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Familiarity with ERP systems is advantageous
  • Experience managing bulk goods logistics is a plus
