Role Overview: Process Artisan

The primary responsibility of the Process Artisan is to optimize, modify, and maintain process control systems to ensure efficient and reliable operations. This role requires close interaction with production teams to address quality equipment issues and support various plant and process improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities for Process Artisan Jobs in Lusaka

  • Collaborate daily with production teams to resolve equipment-related quality problems.
  • Assist in implementing plant and process improvement projects.
  • Perform standby duties and be available for call-outs as required.
  • Conduct specialized maintenance including calibration, equipment setup, and complex component replacements.
  • Ensure availability of critical spares and recommend effective maintenance regimes.
  • Verify and validate the operation of quality equipment.
  • Utilize SAP and other systems to analyze process deviations related to quality equipment.
  • Manage SAP maintenance schedules and ensure compliance.
  • Develop and maintain equipment performance reports (ERI).
  • Support breakdown management and instrument setup, including new product development (NPD) support.
  • Contribute to training material development and coach operational teams for optimal equipment use.
  • Provide expert diagnostics and subject matter expertise in problem-solving.
  • Assist in compiling maintenance budgets, including spare parts stock management.
  • Continuously enhance technical knowledge to apply the latest best practices in equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Apply VPO principles, 5S standards, and operate processes according to SOPs.
  • Participate in and coach autonomous operations while supporting quality at source.
  • Focus on improving personal competence and flexibility.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

  • Minimum educational qualification: Grade 12.
  • N6 certification.
  • Trade Test Qualification.
  • At least 3 years of experience in instrumentation equipment maintenance and PLC systems is advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Proficient in administration, problem-solving, and technical knowledge.
  • Self-management skills and familiarity with SAP and Excel.
