Primary Mathematics Teacher Job at Fair Haven School

Fair Haven School is seeking a qualified and dedicated Primary Mathematics Teacher to join its teaching team and inspire a love of numeracy in learners.

Location: Fair Haven School, Chingola

Main Roles and Responsibilities

• Teach mathematics across assigned primary grades as per the school curriculum.
• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging mathematics lessons.
• Interpret the mathematics syllabus correctly and prepare schemes of work.
• Use practical hands-on approaches to make mathematical concepts accessible.
• Conduct assessment of learners and prepare progress reports.
• Identify and support learners who struggle with numeracy.
• Maintain discipline and create a safe, supportive learning environment.
• Communicate with parents and staff regarding learners’ progress.
• Ensure the protection and safety of all learners.
• Carry out any other duties assigned by school administration.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Education, with specialisation in Mathematics as an advantage.
• At least two years teaching experience; primary mathematics experience is an added advantage.
• Strong subject knowledge in primary mathematics.
• Creative and innovative mindset.
• Ready to work long hours in a dynamic environment.
• Registered with the Teaching Council of Zambia and holder of a valid Teaching License.
