Role Description

This is an on-site full-time role for a Poultry Expert specializing in broilers and layers, based in Lusaka. The Poultry Expert will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of poultry care and production, ensuring optimal health and productivity of broilers and layers. Daily tasks include monitoring poultry health, implementing best practices in animal husbandry, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and providing guidance on feed and nutrition. The role also involves coordinating with farm staff, performing routine checks, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

Poultry, Animal Husbandry, and Livestock skills
Experience in Agriculture and Farms management
Strong understanding of best practices in poultry care and production
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
Ability to work collaboratively with farm staff and other stakeholders
Relevant qualifications in animal sciences or agriculture are preferable
Experience in the agricultural or livestock sector in Zambia is a plus
