About the Role – Plumber Jobs in Kalumbila

As a plumber reporting directly to the Supervisor – Plumbing, you will play a vital role in maintaining and supporting the mine’s infrastructure. Your expertise will ensure the safe and efficient operation of water systems critical to uninterrupted mining and maintenance activities.

Key responsibilities include:

• Installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems, pipelines, fixtures, and water infrastructure across the site.
• Inspecting and troubleshooting leaks, blockages, equipment faults, and system failures promptly.
• Maintaining industrial water supply and drainage systems, including servicing SPU pumps in macerator tanks and sewage treatment plants.
• Conducting regular inspections to ensure plumbing installations comply with safety and regulatory standards.
• Assisting with preventative maintenance programs aligned with scheduled maintenance activities.
• Responding quickly to emergency plumbing issues to minimize operational downtime.
• Collaborating closely with maintenance teams to support operational needs effectively.
• Maintaining accurate records of completed work and materials used.

Candidate Requirements

To be considered for this full-time position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• Full Grade Twelve School Certificate.
• Minimum Trade Certificate in Plumbing and Sheet Metal or an equivalent qualification.
• At least 2 years of experience working in a mining environment or a similar industrial setting.
• Strong knowledge of water systems, pumps, valves, pipes, fittings, and industrial plumbing infrastructure.
• Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Possession of a valid Zambian driver’s license is an advantage.
