Plantlife Zambia is hiring a Sales and Trials Intern.

Are you passionate about agriculture, research, and field-based learning? Plantlife Zambia is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Sales and Trials Intern to join its team and gain practical experience in agronomy, product evaluation, agricultural research, and sales support.

The successful candidate will assist with field trials, product demonstrations, customer engagement activities, and the collection and analysis of trial data while contributing to the company’s commercial and technical objectives.

Position: Sales and Trials Intern
Location: Lusaka, Zambia

Key Responsibilities
– Assist in the establishment, monitoring, and maintenance of field trials.
– Support implementation of demo plots and product evaluations.
– Collect, record, and maintain accurate trial data including germination rates, plant growth, pest and disease incidence, and yield performance.
– Ensure trial activities follow company protocols and agronomic best practices.
– Capture and organize trial data accurately and timely.
– Assist in analyzing trial results and preparing technical reports.
– Maintain proper records of trial activities and outcomes.
– Support sales activities and customer engagement.
– Assist in product launches and farmer training programs.
– Assist in identifying and engaging potential customers including farmers, agro-dealers, distributors, and agribusinesses.
– Participate in field visits and customer meetings as required.

Qualifications and Requirements
– Recent graduate with a Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Crop Science, Horticulture, or related field.
– Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
– Basic understanding of agricultural products, farming practice, and agribusiness operations.
– Willingness to travel within and outside Lusaka.
– Positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
– Must possess a valid driver’s license.
