About the Position

Chambeshi Water Supply and Sanitation Company is seeking competent, safety-conscious Plant Operators to operate equipment per SOPs, ensuring consistent high-quality water production in a demanding environment involving heat, chemicals, and noise.

Position Details

• Vacancy: Plant Operators (10 Positions)
• Department: Engineering
• Grade: CMS7
• Reports To: Production Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

• Operate plant equipment/machinery per SOPs.
• Ensure adequate treatment chemicals are available and dosed at recommended rates; log all dosages.
• Conduct hourly equipment monitoring and report operational threats immediately.
• Monitor chlorine residues and log all operational parameters.
• Execute routine maintenance and maintain high housekeeping standards.
• Update the Daily Occurrence book before shift handover.

• Luwingu – 1
• Chilubi – 1
• Mungwi – 1

Qualifications and Experience

• Full Grade 12 Certificate.
• Craft Certificate in Electrical, Water Supply Operations, or equivalent.
• Registered with the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ).
• At least 1 year experience in a process plant; water treatment experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of water operations and ability to identify operational threats.
• Physically fit and committed to safety.
