Job description

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Pharmacy Technologist, you will be at the heart of our operations—ensuring safe dispensing, excellent customer care, and efficient pharmacy management. This is an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, professional environment where your expertise truly makes a difference.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accurately dispense prescription and over-the-counter medicines
  • Provide professional advice and counselling to customers on medications and minor ailments
  • Ensure compliance with all pharmaceutical regulations and standards
  • Monitor and manage stock, including controlled and specialized medicines
  • Conduct basic health checks (e.g. blood pressure, diabetes screening)
  • Support inventory management, purchasing, and merchandising
  • Supervise and guide pharmacy support staff
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper storage conditions (including temperature control)
  • Monitor and manage expired and near-expiry stock
  • Contribute to overall pharmacy performance and customer satisfaction

 

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Full Grade 12 Certificate
  • Diploma in Pharmacy from a recognized institution
  • Able to work long hours
  • Registered with HPCZ (mandatory)
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Leadership ability with experience supervising staff is an added advantage
  • Experience working in a retail pharmacy is an added advantage
