Role Overview: Pest and Pallet Controller

The Pest and Pallet Controller will play a critical role in maintaining hygienic and pest-free environments within the company’s facilities. This contract position based in Lusaka requires a proactive individual who can expertly manage pest control and ensure the integrity of pallet storage areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect buildings and premises for signs of pest infestations and bird activity.
  • Identify pests such as rats, cats, termites, cockroaches, and mosquitoes accurately.
  • Assess and determine appropriate treatment methods and the dimensions of affected areas.
  • Implement pest control measures using baits, traps, and pesticides effectively.
  • Develop and execute pest management plans to prevent future infestations.
  • Establish barriers to restrict pest entry into warehouses.
  • Maintain high standards of environmental hygiene within operational areas.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum Grade 12 certificate.
  • Certificate in pest control.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to pest control and pallet management.
  • At least one year of relevant experience in pest control or related fields.

  • Creativity and problem-solving abilities to address pest-related challenges.
  • Attention to detail to ensure thorough inspections and treatments.
