Our client in Zambia, is looking for a  People and Culture Co-ordinator – Operations (Level – Assistant/Coordinator) – Operations  to join their team for a job vacancy within the charity/non-profit sector. The position will be based in Chipata.

Key Responsibilities
• HR Strategy & Policy: Develop and implement HR policies, ensure compliance with Zambian labour laws, and drive process improvements.
• Recruitment & Workforce Planning: Manage recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning in partnership with managers.
• HR Operations: Maintain HR data accuracy, contracts, probation, and employee records.
• Performance Management: Lead performance review processes and collaborate on staff development initiatives.
• Employee Relations: Advise on disciplinary cases, grievances, compliance risks, and salary benchmarking.
• Payroll & Benefits: Oversee payroll, statutory compliance, benefits administration, and immigration documentation.
• Staff Engagement & Wellbeing: Drive engagement activities, wellbeing initiatives, and culture-building programs.
• Exit Management: Ensure compliant exit processes and use feedback to inform retention strategies.
• Reporting: Provide timely HR reports and strategic recommendations to leadership.Workforce planning tools

Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
• HR/Administration degree
• Licensed ZIHRM member
• 5+ years HR experience across multiple functions
• Knowledge of Zambian employment law
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Self-motivated and independent
