Title: Payment & Claims Officer

OVERALL PURPOSE
The Payments and Claims Officer is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of all account payable transactions, including invoice validation, vendor payments, reconciliations, and compliance checks. The role ensures that all payments are properly authorized, recorded, and executed in accordance with company policies, internal controls, and statutory requirements. The Payments and claims Officer also ensures effective coordination with internal procurement teams and finance operations teams.
JOB SPECIFICATION
Minimum Qualifications: Grade 12 School certificate , Bachelor’s degree in accounting, ACCA 2/ CIMA 2 / full ZICA.
Professional Registration: ZICA
Minimum Experience: Minimum of 4 years’ experience in accounts payable, preferably in fintech, telecom, or a high-volume payment environment.
Key Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or Microsoft Dynamics). Knowledge of tax regulations (VAT, WHT, PAYE, Transaction levy, Withholding Turnover tax), procurement cycles, and vendor contracts
