Job Description: Patrol Officer

Reports to: Operations Manager / Patrol Supervisor

Employment Type: Full-time

Job Purpose

The Patrol Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of client sites through regular patrols, inspections, and quick response to incidents. The role ensures that security guards are alert, disciplined, and performing their duties as required.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct regular patrols across assigned client sites to ensure guards are on duty and performing their tasks.
Inspect premises, equipment, and access points, and maintain high security standards.
Monitor and enforce company security procedures and client site policies.
Respond swiftly to security breaches, alarms, or emergency situations.
Provide backup support to site security guards when required.
Prepare daily patrol reports and submit findings to the Operations Manager.
Identify and report safety hazards, suspicious activities, or potential risks.
Ensure occurrence books, logbooks, and incident reports are properly maintained.
Train and guide site guards on best practices, discipline, and professional conduct.
Assist in crowd control, evacuations, or emergencies when necessary.
Serve as the communication link between guards, supervisors, and management.
Qualifications and Skills
Valid National Registration Card (NRC).
Minimum Grade 12 certificate; additional security training or certification is an added advantage.
Proven experience as a Patrol Officer, Senior Security Guard, or in law enforcement.
Physically fit and able to work long shifts, including nights and weekends.
Strong leadership, observation, and reporting skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to respond quickly and effectively in emergencies.
Must own a mobile phone for communication.
Valid driver’s license is an added advantage.
