Role Overview: Packaging Operator Jobs in Lusaka
As a Packaging Operator at AB InBev Africa, you will play a crucial role in maintaining safe and efficient production processes. Your responsibilities include operating manual and automatic machines, monitoring production quality, and ensuring compliance with safety and process standards. You will contribute to continuous improvement by identifying and resolving issues, supporting autonomous operations, and collaborating closely with your team to meet production targets.

Key Responsibilities
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment throughout all shifts
Interpret and execute the production plan for your shift efficiently
Operate packaging equipment according to VPO standards and procedures
Monitor production processes and promptly address any negative trends
Complete operator workstation and team room administration accurately
Manage PIMS & POMS data and take corrective actions as needed
Conduct quality checks and document results using relevant information systems
Identify defective equipment and report to Process Artisan or Team Leader
Assist with running repairs and maintenance during shifts
Participate actively in shift meetings and contribute to continuous improvement
Communicate effectively during shift handovers to ensure smooth transitions
Candidate Profile and Competencies
Willingness to work shifts and adapt to production schedules
Strong problem-solving skills with a logical and analytical approach
Ability to manage process areas following VPO principles and standards
Effective team player with excellent communication and listening skills
High level of initiative, energy, and drive to exceed performance standards
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
Grade 12 or equivalent educational qualification
Mechanical or electrical aptitude with relevant technical knowledge
Technical qualification such as a Mechanical/Electrical Certificate or advanced technician diploma
Completion of 9 months on-the-job training and SKAP within 12 months
Experience in packaging within the FMCG industry is desirable
