Operations / Plant Management – Paper Bags, Paper Cups & Flexographic Printing
Objective of the Search
To identify and present qualified candidates capable of setting up and managing a paper bag, paper cup, and flexographic printing manufacturing operation. The candidate must be hands-on, production-focused, and experienced in packaging and flexographic printing environments.
Key Experience Requirements (Mandatory)
Minimum 5–8 years experience in manufacturing operations
At least 3 years in a supervisory or management role
Practical, hands-on experience in flexographic printing
Experience in packaging or paper converting manufacturing
Strong understanding of production planning, waste control, and quality systems
Proven ability to manage factory staff and shift-based operations
Preferred / Advantageous Experience
Paper bag manufacturing (SOS, flat handle, twisted handle)
Paper cup manufacturing processes
Food-grade packaging operations
Start-up or greenfield factory experience
Experience working in Africa or similar emerging markets
Core Responsibilities
Full responsibility for daily factory operations (printing & converting)
Management of flexographic printing department, including quality and efficiency
Coordination between printing and converting processes
Staff recruitment, training, and supervision
Implementation of quality, safety, and production control systems
Reporting on production output, waste, downtime, and efficiency
Candidate Profile
Practical and operational (not purely administrative)
Strong leadership and people management skills
Comfortable working in a start-up manufacturing environment
Problem-solver with a strong quality and cost-control mindset
