OPERATIONS MANAGER
ZAMKEN GROUP LIMITED,
KATETE, ZAMBIA
CONTRACT: ON-SITE

At the heart of Zambia’s edible oil industry, we’re growing fast and are seeking a dedicated professional to oversee our sunflower oil production facility, streamline our operations, and help us achieve new levels of efficiency and profitability.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
Leading daily operations of sunflower oil machines
Managing sunflower seed inventory, production schedules, and quality control
Supervising and motivating production staff and warehouse teams
Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and food processing standards
Coordinating logistics, delivery, and by-product (sunflower cake) dispatch
Collaborating with sales to hit production and profitability targets
KEY METRICS YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Production efficiency
Machine uptime (>95%)
Waste minimization & raw material optimization
Inventory accuracy & product quality
On-time delivery and team productivity
WHAT YOU NEED:
Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field
Minimum 2 years in FMCG, food processing, or manufacturing
Strong leadership, planning, and team management skills
Proficiency in production tracking tools and Microsoft Excel
Have know how of ERP systems
A proactive mindset and commitment to continuous improvement
