Job description

We are a dynamic engineering company specializing in electrical, mechanical, civil engineering, and plant hire services. We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Office Manager to oversee the smooth running of our office operations and provide administrative support to management and project teams.

Job Purpose
The Office Manager will be responsible for managing office administration, coordinating support services, supervising staff, and ensuring that day-to-day operations run efficiently to support the company’s engineering and plant hire projects.

Key Responsibilities
Oversee general office operations, including facilities management, office supplies, and equipment maintenance.
Provide administrative support to management and project teams.
Supervise administrative staff and ensure efficient workflow.
Manage correspondence, records, filing systems, and document control.
Coordinate meetings, prepare reports, and assist in project documentation.
Support HR functions including recruitment, leave management, and staff welfare.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and health & safety requirements.
Liaise with clients, suppliers, and service providers.
Assist in financial administration including petty cash handling, expense tracking, and invoicing support.

Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field (a diploma with strong experience will also be considered).
Minimum 3 years’ experience in office administration, preferably in the engineering, construction, or plant hire industry.
Strong leadership, organizational, and multitasking skills.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
Knowledge of basic accounting and HR processes will be an added advantage.
