ACCOUNTANT – BAKERY & RESTAURANT

Job Overview

An established and fast-growing bakery is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accountant to oversee financial records, sales reconciliations, supplier payments, and cost control within a dynamic food production and retail environment.

Key Responsibilities
Record, reconcile, and verify daily sales from cash, mobile money, and POS systems
Prepare accurate daily, weekly, and monthly financial and management reports
Manage accounts payable and receivable, including supplier invoices and reconciliations
Monitor operational expenses and support cost control initiatives
Assist with stock costing, ingredient usage tracking, and wastage analysis
Prepare payroll inputs and staff-related financial records
Maintain organized filing of invoices, receipts, delivery notes, and financial documents
Conduct bank deposits and perform basic bank reconciliations
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and statutory requirements
Qualifications & Skills
Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Minimum 2–3 years’ accounting experience (bakery, hospitality, or retail preferred)
Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and financial controls
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Experience handling POS sales data and cash reconciliations
High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and meet reporting deadlines
