Project Manager x 1

The project manager guides the project from start to finish while keeping the work on time, on budget, and within the agreed scope.

Key Responsibilities

·        Operations Management: Direct day-to-day rig operations, site mobilization, and field execution strategies.

·        Safety & Compliance (HSSE): Enforce strict health, safety, security, and environmental regulations, with the authority to stop unsafe work.

·        Budget & Resource Control: Track project costs, manage Authorizations for Expenditure (AFE), and allocate equipment and personnel efficiently.

·        Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the primary liaison between clients, subcontractors, technical departments, and local authorities.

·        Project Closeout: Deliver end-of-well reports, document lessons learned, and finalize contractor invoices.

Requirements & Qualifications

·        Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Mechanical, or Civil) or a related Earth Sciences field like Hydrogeology.

·        Experience: 5 to 10+ years of hands-on experience in drilling operations, rig management, or groundwater/water infrastructure projects.

·        Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of drilling methods, safety standards (well control/HSSE), risk assessments, and procurement processes.

·        Certification: Professional Engineering membership with ERB with clean Practicing Certificate

Hydrologist x 1

The project hydrologist plans and conducts water resource studies, analyzes hydrological data, and models groundwater or surface water systems to support engineering and environmental projects.

Job Summary

We need an experienced Hydrologist to manage water-related aspects of our upcoming project. You will study water movement, assess environmental impacts, and provide data-driven recommendations for project design and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

·        Fieldwork: Collect water and soil samples, measure streamflow, and monitor groundwater levels.

·        Data Analysis: Evaluate precipitation, runoff, and infiltration data using specialized software.

·        Modeling: Build computer models to simulate water systems, forecast floods or droughts, and predict water availability.

·        Collaboration: Work closely with civil engineers and environmental scientists to design water structures or mitigation plans.

·        Reporting: Prepare technical reports and present findings to clients and regulatory agencies.

Qualifications

·        Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in hydrology, hydrogeology, or a related STEM field.

·        Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in hydrological fieldwork, analysis, and modeling.

·        Skills: Proficiency in GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and hydrologic modeling software, with strong problem-solving abilities.

Site Manager x 1

The Site Engineering Manager oversees daily site operations, coordinates technical teams, and manages construction or plant maintenance schedules within budget and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

·        Site Management: Organize and manage daily construction or operational activities on-site, providing production command and coordination.

·        Technical Supervision: Interpret engineering drawings, layouts, and specifications for site teams, ensuring work complies with design requirements.

·        Quality & Safety Compliance: Conduct quality assurance inspections, resolve on-site technical faults, and enforce health, safety, and environmental regulations in line with Zambian standards (such as NCC or EIZ guidelines).

·        Resource & Material Control: Manage site resources, equipment utilization, and requisition of materials against the Bill of Quantities (BOQ) to minimize waste.

·        Progress Reporting: Prepare daily or weekly site reports, monitor project schedules, and escalate critical issues or delays to upper management or the Project Manager.

Qualifications & Requirements

·        Education: A Technologist Diploma or National Diploma in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field.

·        Experience: Minimum of 3 to 5+ years of practical work experience in site supervision, technical management, or construction execution.

·        Professional Registration: Fully paid-up membership with the Engineering Institute of Zambia (EIZ) and a valid practicing certificate or relevant regulatory registration WITH Engineering Registration Board

·        Core Skills: Proficiency in technical drawing interpretation, computer literacy (MS Office, AutoCAD or similar design software), and strong leadership or decision-making abilities.

Drilling Technician/Foreman x 1

1. Drilling Technician Job Description

Job Purpose

To maintain, troubleshoot, and repair specialized drilling rigs and support equipment, and assist with technical or geological data collection on site.

Key Responsibilities

·        Equipment Maintenance: Perform scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance on drill rigs (e.g., Epiroc, Sandvik, Atlas Copco) and hydraulic/diesel systems.

·        Troubleshooting: Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical faults quickly in field or workshop environments.

·        Site Support: Assist with rig setup, drill pad preparation, and down-the-hole (DTH) hammer or bit replacements.

·        Sample & Data Handling: Collect, process, and log core samples or cuttings when supporting exploration or geotechnical teams.

·        Safety Compliance: Follow mine health and safety protocols, conduct pre-start checks, and maintain safe working practices.

Typical Qualifications & Requirements

·        Education: Full Grade 12 School Certificate.

·        Credentials: Diploma or Advanced Certificate in Drill Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related trade.

·        Zambian Certifications: Valid Silicosis Medical Certificate (mandatory for most Zambian mining sites) and a valid Driver’s License.

·        Professional Body: Membership with the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ).

·        Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on experience working with heavy drilling or mining equipment.

Bricklayer x 1

Job Purpose

To construct, alter, and repair structural brickwork, concrete block walls, and other masonry structures safely and accurately according to project blueprints and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

·        Masonry Construction: Lay concrete blocks, Stock bricks, or facing bricks evenly using mortar as a binder.

·        Plan Interpretation: Read and interpret basic building plans, drawings, and setting-out markers.

·        Alignment & Levelling: Check vertical and horizontal alignment using spirit levels, plumb lines, and measuring tapes.

·        Mixing & Preparation: Mix mortar (cement, sand, and water) accurately by hand or using a mechanical mixer.

·        Finishing & Maintenance: Perform plastering, joint raking, and minor repairs on existing structures.

·        Site Safety: Maintain a clean work area, use scaffolding safely, and comply with standard construction site safety rules.

Qualifications & Requirements

·        Education: Grade 12 School Certificate

·        Trade Certification: Craft Certificate or Trade Test (e.g., TEVETA-recognized or equivalent) in Bricklaying and Plastering, or proven extensive practical experience.

·        Experience: Minimum of 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience working on residential, commercial, or civil building sites.

·        Physical Fitness: Good physical endurance, hand-eye coordination, and strength to handle heavy lifting and manual labor.

·        Documentation: Valid National Registration Card (NRC).

PLUMBER X 1

Job Purpose

The primary purpose of a plumber is to install, maintain, and repair the pipe networks, fixtures, and systems that supply clean water, manage waste disposal, and regulate heating in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings

Key Responsibilities

·        Installation: Read and interpret architectural and plumbing blueprints to lay out water supply and waste disposal networks.

·        Pipework: Cut, thread, join, and pressure-test uPVC, PPR, CPVC, GI (Galvanized Iron), and copper piping systems common in local construction.

·        Sanitaryware: Install sinks, toilets, concealed cisterns, showers, and water heating units (geysers).

·        Maintenance & Repairs: Diagnose leaks, clear blocked sewer lines, and replace burst pipes or faulty valves promptly.

·        Compliance: Ensure all installations align with local Zambian building standards and health regulations.

Requirements & Qualifications

·        Education: Full Grade 12 School Certificate and a Craft Certificate in Plumbing or Pipefitting.

·        Experience: Minimum of 2 to 5 years of practical work experience on active construction or facility maintenance sites.

·        Professional Bodies: Membership with the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ) is required

·        Skills: Strong physical dexterity, problem-solving aptitude, and a valid Zambian driver’s license are distinct advantage
