The Zambia Centre for Accountancy Studies (ZCAS), established by an Act of Parliament (ZCAS Act No. 1 of 1989), is a premier institution dedicated to training accountants, promoting research, and advancing learning in accountancy, finance, and related fields. We are currently inviting qualified and experienced professionals to apply for multiple roles based in Lusaka, Zambia, including a key position for an Administration and Human Resource Manager.

Administration and Human Resource Manager Role Overview
Reporting to the Board Secretary, the Administration and Human Resource Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting the Centre’s administrative and human resource functions to drive business objectives and foster positive organizational culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies covering recruitment, training, industrial relations, employee welfare, and salary administration.
- Assist in recruiting and inducting new staff members and managing performance through the Staff Performance Management and Development System.
- Coordinate training needs analysis and oversee training and development programs.
- Engage with unions during negotiations on salaries and conditions of service for unionized employees.
- Manage personnel records and ensure compliance with Centre’s terms and conditions of service.
- Administer disciplinary and grievance procedures to maintain industrial harmony.
- Oversee the Centre’s vehicle pool, security services, and Estates Unit operations.
- Conduct exit interviews and prepare separation notices.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- Grade 12 Certificate with at least five (5) “O” levels including English and Mathematics.
- Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Human Resource Management or related fields.
- Minimum five (5) years of post-qualification managerial experience.
- Strong knowledge of Zambian Labour Laws and employment statutes.
- Computer literacy.
- Full Membership of the Zambia Institute of Human Resources Management (ZIHRM) with a valid 2026 Practicing Certificate; Fellowship is an advantage.
Other Available Roles and Their Requirements
Lecturer (Financial Reporting & Taxation)
The Lecturer will prepare and deliver lectures for professional accountancy courses such as ACCA, CIMA, and CA Zambia, while also engaging in research, consultancy, and advocacy.
- Qualifications: Grade 12 with five (5) “O” levels, full professional accountancy qualification (ACCA, CIMA, or ZICA), Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field, and teaching certification. PhD preferred.
- Experience: Minimum five (5) years teaching at tertiary level, specifically Financial Reporting and Taxation.
- Membership: Fully paid-up member of Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA) for 2026.
- Skills: Computer literate and conversant with financial reporting and taxation systems.
Accounts Assistant – Management Accounting
Responsible for maintaining management accounting records to support resource utilization, revenue expansion, and accountability.
- Qualifications: Grade 12 with five (5) “O” levels, Diploma in Accountancy or equivalent.
- Membership: Fully paid-up member of ZICA for 2026.
- Experience: Minimum two (2) years relevant work experience.
- Skills: Proficient in accounting software and computer literate.
Carpenter
The Carpenter will undertake maintenance, repairs, and woodworking projects across the Centre.
- Qualifications: Grade 12 with five (5) “O” levels and a Crafts Certificate in Carpentry.
- Experience: Minimum two (2) years in a similar role.
Gardeners (Two Positions)
Gardeners will maintain and enhance the Centre’s grounds to ensure a pleasant and inspiring environment.
- Qualifications: Junior Secondary School Certificate (Grade 9).
- Experience: At least six (6) months working as a Gardener or General Worker.
