JOB OPPORTUNITIES

Our Client, SINOMA (Mphande Limestone) in the Manufacturing Industry, invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the following positions:

1. Repair Technician

Key Responsibilities:

Diagnose faults and repair equipment and machinery
Perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance
Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues
Maintain maintenance and repair records
Ensure compliance with safety standards
Assist in installation and testing of equipment

Requirements:

Grade 12 School Certificate
Diploma or Degree in Engineering or related field
Proven experience in equipment maintenance and repair
Strong technical knowledge (electrical/mechanical systems)
Ability to work independently and in a team
Strong problem-solving skills

2. Process Controller

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and control operational processes
Ensure adherence to procedures and policies
Maintain accurate records and reports
Identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements
Coordinate workflow across departments

Requirements:

Grade 12 School Certificate
Degree in a relevant field
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Good communication skills
Experience in a similar role is an added advantage

3. Mechanical Repair Technician

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and repair machinery within the mixing plant
Diagnose mechanical faults and implement solutions
Perform welding and fabrication work
Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance
Ensure safe and efficient equipment operation

Requirements:

Grade 12 School Certificate
Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Proven experience in industrial/mechanical maintenance
Strong welding and fabrication skills
Good understanding of mechanical systems
Ability to work under pressure

4. Equipment Inspector

Key Responsibilities:

Inspect plant equipment and machinery
Identify defects and recommend corrective actions
Prepare inspection reports
Monitor maintenance activities
Ensure compliance with safety standards

Requirements:

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Experience in industrial or plant equipment inspection
Strong analytical and reporting skills
Attention to detail and integrity

5. Chief of Section / Section Foreman

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise daily operations within the assigned section
Lead and manage technical teams
Ensure efficient production processes
Enforce safety standards
Provide training and performance monitoring

Requirements:

Proven experience in concrete mixing or industrial operations
Strong leadership and team management skills
Ability to communicate in Mandarin Chinese (mandatory)
Strong problem-solving skills

6. Laboratory Technician

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct laboratory tests on raw materials and finished products
Ensure quality control standards are maintained
Record and analyze test results
Maintain laboratory equipment
Prepare technical reports

Requirements:

Grade 12 School Certificate
Diploma/Degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, or related field
Experience in laboratory testing (construction/materials preferred)
Strong analytical and reporting skills
Attention to detail

7. Machine Repair Translator

Key Responsibilities:

Provide translation and interpretation support for technical operations
Translate technical documents and manuals
Facilitate communication between Chinese and Zambian staff
Support maintenance teams during troubleshooting

Requirements:

Fluency in Chinese and English (local language an added advantage)
Knowledge of mechanical/electrical terminology
Experience in technical translation or interpretation
Strong communication skills

8. Security Guards (3 Positions)

Key Responsibilities:

Provide security surveillance and patrol services
Control access and monitor premises
Respond to incidents and emergencies
Maintain security reports

Requirements:

Grade 9 or Grade 12 Certificate
Valid NRC
Police Clearance Certificate
Security License
Ability to work shifts
Physically fit

9. Vehicle Dispatcher

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate and schedule vehicle movements
Monitor logistics operations
Maintain transport records
Communicate with drivers and operations teams

Requirements:

Experience in logistics/transport management
Good communication and coordination skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office/WPS
Strong organizational skills

10. Vehicle Tracking Administrator

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor vehicle tracking systems
Maintain tracking records
Analyze movement data
Report anomalies and inefficiencies

Requirements:

Experience in vehicle tracking systems
Strong computer skills
Good analytical and communication skills

11. General Workers (2 Positions)

Key Responsibilities:

Perform general manual tasks
Assist in loading, unloading, and site operations
Maintain cleanliness of work areas
Support technical teams as required

Requirements:

Grade 9 or Grade 12 Certificate
Physically fit
Hardworking and reliable

12. Truck Driver

Key Responsibilities:

Operate heavy-duty trucks safely
Transport materials and equipment
Conduct vehicle inspections
Maintain delivery logs

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years’ driving experience
Valid heavy-duty driver’s license
Good driving record
Strong communication skills

13. Sales Representative

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute sales strategies
Manage customer relationships
Maintain customer databases
Achieve sales targets
Conduct market research

Requirements:

Diploma/Degree in Sales, Marketing, or Business
Minimum of 2 years’ sales experience
Valid driver’s license
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Computer literacy

14. Human Resource and Administration Officer

Key Responsibilities:

Support recruitment, onboarding, and employee records management
Administer HR policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
Coordinate employee relations, performance management, and training activities
Maintain personnel records and HR information systems
Oversee office administration, logistics, and general office operations
Prepare HR and administrative reports
Ensure compliance with labour laws and company policies

Requirements:

Grade 12 School Certificate
Diploma in Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field
Minimum of 2–3 years’ relevant HR and administrative experience
Knowledge of labour laws and HR best practices
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
High level of confidentiality and professionalism
