Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator / Welder to cut, shape, assemble, and weld metal components according to specifications. The ideal candidate will be experienced in reading blueprints, operating fabrication equipment, and producing high-quality welds while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications
Measure, cut, bend, and shape metal materials using hand tools and machinery
Perform welding using MIG, TIG, Stick, or other required welding processes
Assemble fabricated metal components and structures
Inspect completed work to ensure accuracy, strength, and quality
Operate fabrication equipment such as grinders, saws, presses, and welding machines
Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition
Follow workplace safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE
Repair and modify metal structures and equipment as required
Meet production deadlines and quality standards

Qualifications & Skills

Proven experience as a metal fabricator and/or welder
Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding (certification preferred)
Ability to read and understand technical drawings and blueprints
Ability to paint
Strong knowledge of metal types, welding techniques, and fabrication processes
Good attention to detail and manual dexterity
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Physical ability to lift heavy materials and stand for long periods

Education & Experience

High school certificate or equivalent preferred
Technical training or apprenticeship in welding or metal fabrication is an advantage
Welding certifications (AWS or equivalent) are a plus

Working Conditions

Workshop, factory, or construction site environment
Exposure to heat, noise, and metal materials
May require overtime, shift work, or on-site assignments
