Job description
WE ARE HIRING
Cfb Medical Centre is a private hospital in Lusaka looking to recruit a dynamic individual to fill the position of:
1. MEDICAL PRACTITIONER
We are looking for a dedicated Medical Practitioner to join our dynamic clinical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centred medical care, ensuring accurate diagnosis, effective treatment, and timely referrals where necessary.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate sound clinical judgement, strong ethical standards, and a commitment to continuous professional development.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Attend to patients by conducting thorough history taking, clinical examination, diagnosis, and treatment in accordance with established medical standards.
Respond promptly and efficiently to medical emergencies within the hospital.
Prescribe medications responsibly and ensure the rational use of pharmaceuticals.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests and utilize available paramedical services (Laboratory, Radiology, Physiotherapy, etc.) appropriately.
Refer patients to specialists or consultants when necessary and coordinate patient management plans.
Maintain accurate, detailed, and confidential medical records.
Supervise and mentor junior medical staff, interns, and nursing personnel.
Participate in ward rounds, case discussions, and multidisciplinary team meetings.
Promote preventive healthcare and patient education on disease management and lifestyle modification.
Observe strict medical ethics, professionalism, and patient confidentiality at all times.
Keep abreast of medical advancements, emerging treatments, and clinical best practices.
REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS
Fully qualified Medical Doctor with a valid practicing license.
Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience, preferably in a private hospital setting.
Registered with the Health Professions Council of Zambia (HPCZ).
Strong diagnostic, clinical, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.
High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
Computer literate and able to work effectively in an electronic medical records environment.
