We are now recruiting for a Media and Content Officer – Strategic Initiatives to join our team. Reporting to the Media and Content Manager, this role is for a creative storyteller who can bring our mission to life across digital platforms and strategic programmes.

You will produce compelling, high-quality content for key initiatives such as Sponsor A School (SAS), Fund A School (FAS), philanthropy, and social media. You’ll help strengthen brand visibility, engage supporters, and translate programme impact into stories that inspire action.

Key responsibilities:

Develop engaging content that highlights strategic initiatives and fundraising priorities
Turn programme data and field experiences into meaningful stories for donors, partners, and the public
Manage content for Facebook and Twitter, including scheduling, posting, and engagement tracking
Produce case studies, success stories, and campaign updates for philanthropy
Monitor performance of social media content and provide monthly analytic reports
Work closely with communications, partnerships, fundraising, and programme teams to ensure content reflects organisational needs
Support internal knowledge-sharing through templates, guidelines, and best-practice tools

You are a natural storyteller with a strong eye for detail. You understand how to communicate for impact across multiple audiences, and you’re comfortable blending creativity with strategy. You’re confident working across teams, managing timelines, and using digital tools to produce quality multimedia content.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field
At least 3 years’ experience in content creation and social media management
Strong writing and storytelling ability, adaptable for different audiences
Basic graphic design and video editing skills (Canva, Adobe Suite preferred)
Familiarity with advocacy or philanthropy communication is an advantage
Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure
Experience working within an NGO or development sector environment will be an added advantage
