We are currently seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor in Ndola, Copperbelt, Zambia, to join our dedicated team.

As a Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor, you will coordinate and oversee maintenance activities on-site, ensuring optimal operational performance while adhering strictly to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities for Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor Jobs in Ndola

  • Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities, scheduling tasks and managing resources to meet operational targets and deadlines.
  • Lead and mentor the maintenance team, providing training, guidance, and support to foster a safe, collaborative, and productive work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental regulations, and company policies throughout all maintenance operations.
  • Manage the availability and proper use of tools, parts, and other resources necessary for maintenance work.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders to coordinate activities, resolve issues, and promote continuous process improvements.

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in mechanical maintenance supervision.
  • Hands-on experience working with Wärtsilä engines is highly desirable.
  • Strong operational knowledge with the ability to coordinate shift activities efficiently.

  • Proven leadership abilities with experience managing and motivating teams to achieve high performance.
  • Ability to identify, implement, and drive improvements to maintenance processes and workflows.
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with diverse internal and external contacts effectively.
