Mechanical coordinator

Job description

Role Overview:

Responsible for effectively and efficiently performing mechanical maintenance and repair works on all process plant machinery and equipment in the Stockpile area, the grizzly, jaw crusher, conveyors, washing plant, secondary crushers, tertiary crushers, Spiral plant and mill bins.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Carry out root cause analysis for major equipment failures
• Ensures that all Artisans are scheduled with work orders or defect dockets on mechanical works.
• Ensure that minimum level of spares is stocked based on the mini / maxi plan and to notify management of any significant shortfalls.
• Daily reports on work progress and completed tasks.
• Ensure that safety, health and environmental standards are upheld in line with safety and environment policy.
• Comply with all safety rules and procedures in order to mitigate and eliminate injuries at work place.

Preferred candidate qualifications & experience

• Grade 12 Certificate
• Mechanical Technician Certificate, Craft Certificate in Mechanical fitting
• At least 2(two) years Mining working experience in a related field
• EIZ Member
• Valid Silicosis Certificate
