Reporting to the Maintenance Planner, you will be responsible for identifying, collecting components, equipment and tooling from supply chain or other locations and delivery to the end user section for scheduled maintenance work.

Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:

Consolidate all the parts ordered for equipment service or shutdowns.
Ensure correct preparation of all documentation for the collection and return process of components, tooling and equipment.
Ensure that the appropriate maintenance section receives the correct component, tool or piece of

equipment.

Liaise with maintenance supervisors and planners to update on the statuses of parts orders and ETA’s.
Ensure long term planned maintenance parts requirements are scheduled, reviewed and monitored.
Comply with work priorities for the materials section and ensure that activities are undertaken in

accordance with business needs.

Ensure compliance with work management procedures.
Ensure the preparation of rotable parts for offsite shipment and subsequent repair and return.
Assist with planning on short, medium and long term to ensure efficient spares availability.
Assist with the maintenance and updates of planning systems to ensure accurate data at all times.

To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements:

 

Grade 12 Certificate.
Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Relevant experience in a similar role, preferably in the mining environment.
Experience in the use of a recognized CMMS, preferably SAP.
Able to drive a motor vehicle and holder of minimum class C Zambian driver’s licence .
