About the Role
City University of Science and Technology is seeking a creative, energetic, and digitally-savvy Marketing Intern to join our communications team. This is an excellent opportunity for a student or recent graduate to gain hands-on experience in higher education marketing, brand management, and student recruitment.
You will work closely with the University Administration to enhance our digital presence and engage with both current and prospective students.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation: Draft engaging posts for social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram) and assist in managing the university’s online community.
Digital Outreach: Support the management of the Learning Management System (LMS) and student portals by creating instructional or promotional announcements.
Event Promotion: Assist in organizing and promoting campus events, workshops, and recruitment drives.
Market Research: Conduct surveys and research trends in the Zambian higher education sector to help refine our marketing strategies.
Administrative Support: Help update the university website and assist in drafting official memos and newsletters.
Requirements
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
Strong written and verbal communication skills (high attention to detail and grammar).
Proficiency in social media management and basic graphic design tools (e.g., Canva).
Familiarity with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides).
A proactive attitude and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
