MARKETING & CONTENT CREATION OFFICER

POSITION DETAILS

Job Title: Marketing & Content Creation Officer

Department: Marketing & Business Development

Reports To: Chief Executive Officer

Location: Lusaka (Frequent travel to all Company branches, project sites and customer locations)

JOB PURPOSE

The Marketing & Content Creation Officer is responsible for developing, implementing and continuously improving the Company’s marketing strategy to increase brand awareness, customer enquiries, showroom foot traffic, sales opportunities and overall business growth.

The role is highly strategic and execution-focused. The successful candidate will be expected to analyse the market, understand customer behaviour, identify opportunities, develop marketing campaigns, generate qualified leads, create engaging marketing content and measure the effectiveness of all marketing activities.

This position is suited to a commercially minded marketing professional who is able to combine strategic planning with practical execution and deliver measurable business results.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Marketing Strategy

  • Develop and implement the Company’s annual and quarterly marketing strategy.
  • Conduct Market Research and Competitor Analysis.
  • Perform SWOT analyses and identify market opportunities.
  • Recommend new marketing initiatives to increase sales and market share.
  • Develop branch-specific marketing plans.
  • Prepare monthly marketing performance reports.

Customer Acquisition & Foot Traffic

  • Develop campaigns that increase customer visits to company stores.
  • Drive customer enquiries through both online and offline marketing.
  • Identify new customer segments.
  • Develop promotional campaigns and seasonal marketing activities.
  • Increase customer engagement and repeat business.

Business Development Support

  • Identify potential corporate clients.
  • Generate qualified sales leads.
  • Support the sales team through marketing initiatives.
  • Build relationships with strategic partners.
  • Identify opportunities for new products and services.

Digital Marketing

Manage and continuously improve the Company’s digital presence including:

  • Facebook
  • Instagram
  • TikTok
  • LinkedIn
  • Google Business Profile
  • Company Website

Responsibilities include:

  • Content planning
  • Campaign management
  • Audience growth
  • Customer engagement
  • Performance monitoring
  • Paid advertising (where applicable)

Content Creation

Create professional marketing content including:

  • Photography
  • Videography
  • Product showcases
  • Customer testimonials
  • Factory operations
  • Installation projects
  • Educational marketing videos
  • Promotional campaigns
  • Graphic design
  • Copywriting

Brand Management

  • Ensure brand consistency.
  • Protect the Company’s professional image.
  • Develop marketing materials.
  • Maintain brand standards.
  • Coordinate promotional activities.

Marketing Performance

Measure and report on:

  • Customer enquiries
  • Foot traffic
  • Lead generation
  • Conversion rates
  • Campaign effectiveness
  • Return on marketing investment
  • Social media growth
  • Website performance

Recommend improvements based on data and measurable results.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Digital Marketing, Public Relations or a related field.

EXPERIENCE

Minimum 5 years’ proven experience in marketing with demonstrated responsibility for planning, implementing and evaluating successful marketing campaigns.

Experience and exposure in retail, interior design, construction, manufacturing or consumer products will be an added advantage.

HR COMMENT

This is not a content creation role. Content creation forms only one component of the position.

The successful candidate must first be a marketing professional capable of planning, analysing, implementing and measuring marketing initiatives that contribute directly to business growth. The ability to produce high-quality content is expected as a supporting competency to execute the Company’s marketing strategy.

The ideal candidate should demonstrate strategic thinking, strong commercial awareness, excellent analytical ability and a proven track record of delivering measurable marketing results.

COMPANY LOCATION

We are located in Ibex Hill.

Our offices are located at Unit 3, Ibex Hub Mall, Corner of Chimanga Road and Bill Sela Street, Ibex Hill, Lusaka.

The office is located in the same mall as Choppies Supermarket (Ibex Hill), making it easy to identify the location.
