Job description
Job Purpose
The Marketing Intern supports the marketing and business development function by assisting in the planning, implementation, and monitoring of marketing campaigns that promote the firm’s recruitment, training, HR advisory, and business process outsourcing (BPO) services. The role provides practical exposure to digital marketing, content creation, event coordination, market research, and client engagement while contributing to the firm’s brand visibility and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Marketing and Brand Promotion
- Assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns across digital and traditional platforms.
- Create engaging content for social media, the company website, newsletters, and other marketing materials.
- Support the design and distribution of brochures, flyers, presentations, and promotional materials.
- Ensure brand consistency across all marketing communications.
2. Digital Marketing
- Assist in managing the company’s social media platforms by scheduling posts and engaging with followers.
- Monitor website and social media performance using available analytics tools.
- Support email marketing campaigns and maintain mailing lists.
- Research current digital marketing trends and recommend innovative marketing ideas.
3. Business Development Support
- Conduct market research to identify potential clients, industries, and business opportunities.
- Compile databases of prospective clients and maintain accurate contact information.
- Assist in preparing proposals, capability statements, and company profiles.
- Support follow-up activities with prospective and existing clients.
4. Event Coordination
- Assist in planning and coordinating training workshops, seminars, webinars, career fairs, and networking events.
- Support participant registration and event logistics.
- Help prepare event materials, presentations, and promotional content.
- Collect participant feedback and assist in preparing event reports.
5. Content Development
- Draft articles, blog posts, client success stories, and marketing copy.
- Assist in creating presentations and promotional videos where applicable.
- Support the development of recruitment advertisements and training promotions.
- Capture and organise photographs and other media for marketing purposes.
6. Administrative Support
- Maintain marketing records, databases, and campaign documentation.
- Assist in preparing weekly and monthly marketing activity reports.
- Coordinate with suppliers, printers, and media partners when required.
- Perform other marketing and administrative duties assigned by the supervisor.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Timely completion of assigned marketing activities.
- Growth in social media engagement and followers.
- Number of quality marketing materials produced.
- Accuracy and timeliness of marketing reports.
- Contribution to lead generation initiatives.
- Successful coordination of marketing events and campaigns.
- Quality of market research and business intelligence reports.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Public Relations, Digital Marketing, or a related field.
Experience
- Previous internship, volunteer work, or campus leadership experience in marketing is an added advantage.
- Experience managing social media platforms or creating digital content is desirable.
Knowledge
- Basic principles of marketing and branding.
- Digital marketing and social media platforms.
- Market research techniques.
- Customer service principles.
- Microsoft Office Suite and online collaboration tools.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Creative thinking and content development skills.
- Good organisational and time management abilities.
- Basic graphic design skills using tools such as Canva or similar platforms are an added advantage.
- Ability to conduct research and analyse information.
- Strong attention to detail.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
