Access Bank Zambia is inviting applications for the position of Manager, Enterprise Business Services based at its Head Office in Lusaka, Zambia. We seek a self-motivated, innovative, and enthusiastic professional to join our Financial Control Unit in this critical leadership role.

About the Manager Enterprise Business Services Role

The Manager of Enterprise Business Services (EBS) is a senior leadership position responsible for the design, management, and continuous improvement of the Bank’s enterprise-wide shared services. This role encompasses oversight of Procurement, Facilities, and Security Management functions, ensuring alignment with Access Bank’s corporate objectives and cost-containment initiatives. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this role plays a pivotal part in supporting operational excellence and strategic growth.

Key Responsibilities for Manager Enterprise Business Services Jobs in Lusaka

  • Lead the development and implementation of procurement, security, and facilities management policies that advance the Bank’s vision and operational standards.
  • Collaborate with the Brand and Communications team to maintain consistent brand identity across all branches and assets nationwide.
  • Drive innovative cost containment initiatives to optimize resource utilization without compromising service quality.
  • Manage the insurance portfolio for Bank properties, ensuring comprehensive coverage and proactive claims management.
  • Design and oversee efficient travel and tour management systems to enhance employee experience.
  • Ensure all facilities comply with operational and safety standards, providing productive environments across locations.
  • Lead expansion and rationalisation efforts to align facilities and services with business growth strategies.
  • Optimize physical asset allocation and management, eliminating waste and maximizing investment value.
  • Direct strategic procurement to secure quality assets and materials at optimal cost and quantity.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with outsourced service providers to ensure service excellence.
  • Implement robust security and fire prevention measures to protect people, premises, and operations.
  • Manage the Bank’s fleet focusing on reliability, cost-efficiency, and operational continuity.
  • Engage with regulatory authorities to ensure full compliance with licensing, town planning, and statutory requirements.
  • Develop frameworks to safeguard the Bank’s assets, prioritizing security and risk mitigation.
  • Formulate forward-thinking strategies for fleet and fixed-asset management to enhance asset longevity.
  • Continuously improve management of physical assets including land, properties, and equipment to support long-term goals.
  • Mentor and develop direct reports through targeted training, fostering a high-performing team.
  • Oversee refurbishment projects ensuring timely completion aligned with Bank standards.
  • Maintain strict adherence to regulatory, audit, and compliance mandates embedding risk controls across operations.

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Procurement, or a related discipline; MBA or equivalent preferred.
  • 5 to 7 years’ experience in financial services, with a minimum of 3 years in senior operations or shared services leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of banking, insurance, or asset management operations.
  • Proven track record in driving enterprise-level transformation and automation initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large teams and complex, multi-functional operations.
  • Deep understanding of procurement and facility management best practices.
