Management Accountant

Job description

Mimbula Minerals Ltd is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Management Accountant to join its Finance Team. The successful candidate will support the Financial Controller in delivering accurate financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cost management and business performance analysis.

Responsibilities

• Prepare expenditure reports, mine forecasts, management reports and presentations to support leadership decision-making
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, cost control, variance analysis and financial performance monitoring across the mine
• Provide strategic financial insights and decision-support information to management
• Analyze monthly financial results against budgets and forecasts and recommend corrective actions
• Collaborate with departmental managers to achieve production, cost and operational targets
• Support month-end and year-end financial reporting processes
• Participate in lease accounting, inventory valuation, reconciliations and audit processes
• Develop and improve financial models, reports, accounting policies and standard operating procedures
• Lead, mentor and manage finance team members

Qualifications and Experience

• Chartered Accountant; Full ZICA, CA Zambia, ACCA or CIMA qualification
• 3 to 5 years experience in Management Accounting
• Strategic thinker, resilient and effective listener
• Good financial modelling skills
