About the Maintenance Technician Role
As a Maintenance Technician at ZICTA, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of the Authority’s facilities and equipment. This full-time position requires a hands-on approach to maintaining electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting tasks, along with grounds and lighting system upkeep.
Key Responsibilities for Maintenance Technician Jobs in Lusaka
- Plan and execute regular inspections and maintenance of Authority facilities and machinery.
- Perform skilled maintenance activities including electrical, plumbing, painting, and carpentry work.
- Maintain building infrastructure, grounds, and lighting systems to ensure a safe and functional environment.
- Prepare and manage inventory for machinery, garden equipment, and tools.
- Inspect and repair equipment and infrastructure to meet compliance standards.
- Conduct periodic furniture maintenance as required.

- Prepare and submit detailed monthly maintenance reports to management.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the Authority’s operational needs.
Candidate Requirements and Qualifications
- Minimum education: Full Grade 12 Certificate.
- Relevant experience: 2 to 3 years in a similar maintenance role.
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Building Science, Civil Engineering, or a related technical field is required.
